Domain Expirations

Because many registries require additional processing for domain renewals, PLEASE ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR US TO PROCESS YOUR RENEWAL. We are not liable for your failure to pay the renewal fees by the due date and you may incur additional fees or risk losing your domain name for your failure to do so. For additional information on the renewal and redemption process, please refer to our terms and conditions.

To ensure your domains are renewed on time, it is recommended that you set your domain to auto-renew.

Email Notices for Expiring Domains

Expiration notices are sent to the primary email address on file 90 days, 60 days, 30 days, 15 days, 5 days, and 1 day prior to the domain expiration date.

Renewing an Expired Domain Name

Each gTLD and ccTLD has different procedures for recovering expired domain names (that's like 3,000+ procedures), so as not to bore you with each individual domain extension recovery process we'll break down a few examples and if you have a question about your specific domain name drop us a message via a support ticket within your account.

For most gTLDs (but not all) our policy is that new domains have a 30-day Grace Period in which a domain name can be renewed without incurring an additional fee. It’s important to note however that your domain will no longer resolve on the day it expires.  After the 30-day grace period, there is a 30-day Redemption Period in which you can renew your domain name for an additional $100 USD.

If you happen to slip up, we’ll do everything we can do to bail you out and help recover your domains. There are ways to get your domain name back if they expire, but the best way to avoid headaches and fees in the future is to turn on the auto-renew function in your account. No matter how many warning notifications we give of impending domain renewal dates, sometimes things fall through the cracks and people forget to renew their domains in time. We are human, we get it! Auto-renew is the only sure fire way to know your domain name will not expire.
